Defy Zero G Sapphire

Zenith’s Gravity Control mechanism overcomes the effects of gravity on timekeeping precision by fixing the regulating organ to a gimbal that remains in a horizontal position, no matter how the watch is rotated: the exact same principle as a marine chronometer. For this ten-piece limited edition, Zenith has redesigned the movement to create a more open architecture, and housed it inside a transparent sapphire case where it can be admired from every angle. The off-centre dial is hand-executed in a mosaic of meteorite, aventurine glass and Grand Feu enamel on gold. The planet Mars is represented by the small seconds subdial while the back of the gyroscopic module has been given a cratered texture that imitates the surface of the Moon. Main plate and bridges in blue are flecked with white stars.
